The glitz of Hong Kong, Asia’s World City never ceases the amaze tourists, even veteran travellers. The futuristic buildings set against the backdrop of a shimmering harbour, the sight seeing spots brimming with life, towering hills, exotic marine parks, there is so much to do in Hong Kong for an adventure seeking enthusiast. Here is a 5-day itinerary proving exactly that. Remember, this tour is not for the faint hearted!
After your flight lands at the Hong Kong airport, and formalities are completed, the local tour representative will pick you from the airport, and make sure you check in at your hotel comfortably. The rest of the day, you can spend in the city as much as you like. We recommend Wan Chai, (at own expense) where you can explore the shops and related sightseeing spots. It is a great place to experience the nightlife, because Wan Chai is known as the party district of Hong Kong.
Your adventure in Hong Kong starts with a hiking tour to Lion Rock, located at an altitude of 495 meters. So lace up your hiking boots and get ready for a great experience. The hike starts from Kam Shan Country Park, and as you hike along, you can marvel at the city scapes and the beautiful natural landscapes. After the hike, you can head to your hotel room, and retire for the night.
If you are a cycling enthusiast, you can utilise this day to go on a four-hour hiking and cycling tour to Plover Cove in Hong Kong. Be ready to cycle through the dense forests, discover hidden waterfalls and marvel at the natural habitat of birds and animals.
If you are not keen on cycling, you can enjoy a 7.5 hour kayaking tour around Lamma Island. This would also include a tour of the Yang Shue Wan village.
On the 4th day of your trip, you can check out Macau, the famous European settlement with all its major landmarks and highlights. The trip would take approximately 11 hours, so you will have to start early, right after breakfast. After a full day of sightseeing, you can head back to your hotel in Hong Kong, where you can rest for the night.
You can explore Hong Kong for some last minute shopping until it is time for you to head to the airport to catch the flight back home.
